Why the name “Oak City 7”?
The “Oak City” part being an obvious reference to the beautiful city of Raleigh. The “7” because there are seven shows throughout the summer, taking place on alternating Thursdays, beginning the Thursday after Memorial Day and ending the Thursday before Labor Day.
Where is Oak City 7 located?
OC7 is located in City Plaza on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, NC. A “GPS” address to the stage would be: 500 Fayetteville Street, Raleigh NC.
How much is admission?
Admission is free.
What time does it start?
Each event runs from 5pm until 10:30pm.
What is the schedule and who is playing?

Which food trucks will be onsite?
It varies from show to show. Several of them are indeed onsite for the entire season, while others rotate. We suggest that you like OakCity7 on Facebook where we post updates before the show as to exactly who will be on site for that day.
Will alcohol be available for sale?
Yes, OC7 has a wide variety of local and craft beers available.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. You may use your credit card to purchase beer or food at Oak City 7. Cash however is preferred, and often quickest in completing the transaction. For your convenience there are ATM machines throughout City Plaza at one of the many bank buildings downtown. But yes, forgot your cash? We accept all major credit cards.
Are there age restrictions?
OC7 is all-ages, however you must be at least 21 years of age with a valid I.D. to purchase alcohol.
May I bring a chair to OC7?
Yes, Lawn and Tailgating chairs are permitted.
Where do I park?
There are a number of parking decks throughout the downtown area as well as there is free transit available via the R-Line Bus. For a full map of both the parking decks and the R-Line click here. The R-Line stop you will need get off at to attend Oak City 7 is R-13. The parking decks we recommend are the City Center Deck and the Salisbury Deck.
What can I bring in to the event?
You can bring anything that you would normally be allowed to bring to City Plaza on any given day. For example, you cannot bring your own alcohol. And although we encourage you supporting the local businesses of downtown, you are allowed to bring your own food or snacks. But there is a wide variety of great local foods available on-site. Please support those vendors and companies helpful in making this series free to the public.
Can I bring my pets?
The event is a pet-friendly event, however we ask pet-owners to leash their dogs and be courteous of other music fans. We just ask you exercise good common sense when bringing your pet. If your pet is very well-socialized, this event should be just fine for your furry friend.

Rain or Shine?
The event is rain or shine, but should severe weather cause a cancellation at the primary event site of City Plaza, it will be posted here at OakCity7.com, and the live music performances will be moved indoors to Deep South The Bar at 430 S Dawson St in Raleigh – just 2 blocks from City Plaza.
Is there an official afterparty?
After each Oak City 7 in City Plaza, the Official Afterparty will be held at Deep South The Bar at the corner of Dawson and Cabarrus in Downtown Raleigh. The afterparties last from 10:30pm, immediately following Oak City 7, until 2:00am, and feature live music, cold drinks, and friendly faces.
Deep South The Bar is located at 430 S Dawson St – just 2 blocks from City Plaza.
Oak City 7’s Official Afterparties are free admission and 21+.

How can I book my band to play Oak City 7?
While we love hearing from as many acts as possible, Oak City 7 is not a submission-based concert series. Please feel free to send us links and information about your band, but please understand that we curate most of our lineups via our internal staff recommendations, research within the local musical community, etc. Again, we love finding out about new acts, so feel free to send us your information, but please be aware that you likely will not hear back from the booking email submissions at this time.
